Manfred Zylla

Manfred Zylla, born 1939 Germany, resides in Cape Town and is a full time artist. He became prominent as an artist highly critical of apartheid in the 1980s.

 

Zylla has exhibited in a number of solo and group exhibitions, nationally and internationally, and has organized and attended many socialist driven interactions/ interventions. He works in a variety of media but is best known for working in printmaking and drawing- producing work that criticizes political issues and social imbalances.
