Theresa-Anne Mackintosh

Theresa-Anne Mackintosh, born 1968, lives in Tshwane as a full-time practicing artist. She completed a BA and MA degree in Fine Arts at the University of Pretoria. After which she joined a broadcast design and animation company in Johannesburg to explore her interest in animation.

 

Mackintosh works in different media, including painting; sculpture and animation. The conceptual motivation behind her work mostly explores issues of global concerns pertaining to the human psyche, such as joy; ecstacy; anxiety and fear.

 

Presently Mackintosh is on a three month residency programme at ekwc (European Ceramic Work Centre) in the Netherlands.
